An introduction

Vacature via Ginny – or ‘Jobs through Ginny’ – got very popular in a very short amount of time by connecting employees to young professionals via social media. They evolved into an online platform where they could help out both parties even better, but needed some help with their looks.

I was briefed to create the digital art direction and deliver a range of  pages to help their internal design team in the right direction.

The overall brand and illustrations where made in collaboration with Timo Kuilder.

Registration

There are two types of user-groups on VVG and the first ones are the ‘job seekers’.

We need quite some information to build the users’ profile, so to avoid unfinished registrations we’ve split up the process in multiple, bite sized steps and gave everything an airy and energetic design.

This break the standard, static and formal pattern often seen on traditional job portals, which doesn’t fit the brand at all.

Upload vacancy

The other main use-case I was tasked to create, is the ‘upload vacancy’ flow, targeted towards companies and recruiters to find their perfect set of candidates.

Here also, we split up the flow in multiple steps, the first one being a bit more casual: providing the details and uploading visuals. The second part contains the payment details, so this feels a bit more traditional while still fitting the brand.

Profile

One of the most important pages on the portal, is the profile page.

This is the personalised hub where you can view and edit your work-experience, but also find the most relevant available jobs.

The goal was to create a vibrant and energetic feel for the page to help getting the user excited for their new job seeking adventure.

Animations

To show the client the flexibility and playfulness of the UI, I’ve created some interface animations that would fit the brand, and add some pzazz to the overal product.

The animation also shows the logo bumper that I have created to be used in VVG's social media presence.
